His Excellency laid before the Council a
letter (N° 5 of 16th Instant) from eltr Inglis,
Harbour Master, Marine Magistrale,

- and Emigration officer, representing that, since his return to the Colony in November last, his health had again been failing him to such a degree as to render him - unfit for the proper discharge of

testified by the Acting Colonial
Surgeon
and Doctor Kane in a

Certificate, which accompanied his letter,
and requesting, under the Circumstances, that he be allowed from the 1st March next

The Council advised His Excellency that
Mr. Inglis should be allowed Six Months' leave of absence, on half Salary, from the jet March next; and that, at the end of that period, he should either retive from the Service, or obtain from the Secretary of Stati an extension of leave without Salary.
The Colonial Secretary

authorized to
grant to Mr William Henry Devine an Auctioneer's License for the term of one.
